KOHAT: Security forces, police, and Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) have foiled a horrific terror plan in a joint and intelligence-based operation in Kohat district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
In this operation conducted on a tip-off, a major cell of terrorists was destroyed, and a huge quantity of modern weapons, explosives, and communication equipment was recovered from a farmhouse.
According to security sources, intelligence agencies had received information that terrorists had used a farmhouse on the outskirts of Kohat as their hideout and arms depot, from where they were planning to wreak havoc in the city on a large scale. Taking timely action, the forces surrounded the area and exposed the terrorist network during the search.
The items recovered during the raid reflect the dangerous intentions of the terrorists, which include Explosives, 02 ready-made IEDs, large quantities of explosives and IED-making equipment, primacord, detonators, 02 hand grenades, one sniper rifle, 10 magazines, and hundreds of live cartridges.
Technology and communication: 03 laptops, 03 mobile phones, multiple SIM cards and advanced communication devices, Military uniforms/gear, medical kits, and highly sensitive documents.
