PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police have made key appointments in several districts across the province as a part of their continuous efforts to enhance law enforcement and public safety. The officers recently appointed are to take up crucial roles in the different areas and thus reinforce the police work and the connection with the communities.

As per official notification, Irfan Tariq is the new Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Kohat Region and at the same time, Abbas Majeed Marwat is the DIG Headquarters Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The above-mentioned appointments are made under an administrative reshuffle targeted towards the police force’s practicality and community-oriented approach.

Furthermore, an array of officers has been tasked with important assignments in the region besides the high-ranking appointees:

Inspector Wajid Khan will head as the Station House Officer (SHO) at Faqirabad Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Ikram Jan Khan will take charge as the SHO at Regi Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Tahseen Ullah Khan is going to be the SHO at Agha Mir Jani Shah Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Bilal Khan is the new SHO at Hastingri Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Majid Khan is the new Police Station House Officer (SHO) at Tehkal.

Sub-Inspector EJaz khan will be the next SHO at Kotwali Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Mudassar Hayat Khan is again at Budh Bair Police Station as the SHO.

Sub-Inspector Asif Khan is going to be the SHO at Shah Kabul Police Station.

In addition, Sub-Inspector Ejaz Khan will also take the charge of SHO at Mattani Police Station.

Sub-Inspector Khalid Afridi will be in charge of Armar Police Station as the SHO.

Sub-Inspector Tahseen Ullah Khan will continue his responsibilities at Tehkal Police Station.

Other major appointments are as follows:

Saleem Khalil Khan Sub-Inspector takes over as the Police Station’s (Gulbahar) new SHO.

Nauman Khan Sub-Inspector becomes the new Dawodzai Police Station’s SHO.

Ajab Durani Sub-Inspector is transferred to City Police Station, Swabi.

Aziz Riyaz Khalil has made the area of Nasser Bagh Police Station his new workplace.

Iftikhar Ahmad, popularly known as Haji Baba, will take charge of the Peshawar’s Pishthara Police Station as their SHO.

The newly appointed officials are also expected to come in close contact with the communities around them, the public complaints will be resolved by them and the crime-related issues will be dealt with efficiently in their jurisdiction.

The transfer of police personnel is considered as a reassuring step towards raising accountability, quicker action to the crime incidents, and good law enforcement-community relationship.
