KARACHI: Karachi was rocked by one of its biggest heist incidents after unidentified suspects made away with 200 tolas of gold and $100,000 in cash from a high-security residence.
According to police, the robbers carried out the heist with careful planning, disabling the alarm system before entering the house in the early hours of the morning. The family discovered the theft at dawn and immediately informed law enforcement authorities.
Police officials said CCTV footage from the area is being reviewed, while multiple investigation teams have been formed to track down the suspects. Initial findings suggest the crime may have involved inside assistance.
The incident has triggered widespread concern across the city, raising serious questions about security arrangements, surveillance systems, and the growing boldness of organised criminal gangs.
