PESHAWAR: A suicide attack occurred during a wedding ceremony in the Qureshi Mor area of Dera Ismail Khan (DI Khan), resulting in the deaths of six people. CCTV footage of the explosion has been released.

Sources indicate that the suicide bomber has been identified as 21-year-old Abdul Rehman, who was revealed to be of Afghan origin. The footage shows the bomber entering the venue dressed in a white shroud before suddenly leaving during a tribal dance. He then moved towards a back room where important local figures were gathered.

As soon as he entered the room, the bomber detonated his explosives, causing the roof to collapse. In addition to the bomber, five other individuals lost their lives in the explosion. The attack occurred while the nephew of Aman Committee chief Noor Alam Mehsud was getting married.

Following the explosion, police cordoned off the area and initiated a thorough investigation. They have collected CCTV footage and other evidence. A case has been registered at the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) Dera police station under terrorism-related charges.

Authorities recovered the bodies from the debris and collected DNA samples and forensic evidence. According to police, comprehensive security measures have been implemented in the area following the blast, and inquiries are ongoing to determine the motives behind the attack and to identify any additional suspects.
