NOWSHERA: Deputy Commissioner Irfanullah Mehsud announced that Wali Interchange, Rashkai Interchange, Attock Bridge and other important highways of the Grand Trunk (GT) Road have been completely opened for traffic.
According to the district administration, traffic is now flowing, the public had to face severe difficulties due to road closures in the past few days.
Passengers and traders complained of long queues, traffic jams and travel delays, which affected daily life.
The Deputy Commissioner clarified that the district administration will remain strictly bound by the court order regarding road closures and no concessions will be made to anyone.
The public has also been asked to follow traffic rules and avoid unnecessary obstructions so that the traffic system is not affected.
Earlier this the Peshawar High Court had ordered authorities to reopen the closed roads immediately for all types of traffic.
The Pakistan Tehreek-I-Insaf (PTI) workers were protesting in various parts of the province demanding early treatment of founder, Imran Khan.
