LOWER DIR (ZAFAR ALI SHAH): Lower Dir residents’ demanded of the district administration to keep check and balance over Nan prices and have expressed concern over the increasing prices of tandoori roti while using old price list by the Nanbai association with exorbitant prices.

Some bakeries are selling Nan for Rs 30, others are selling it for Rs 25. The weight of the Nan is also reportedly less than usual, making the situation worse for customers who feel they are being charged an unfair price.Locals allege that the price list provided by bakers has not been updated in over a year. The said prices are based on an old price list that no longer reflects the actual cost of production, leading to widespread confusion among the public. As bakers keep charging different rates for the same product, consumers are uncertain about the actual price of tandoori roti.

Local Journalist Zafar Ali Shah told that despite complaints, the local administration has remained largely silent on the issue. The authorities have failed to implement one prices or ensure that bakers adhere to the latest price lists. Local have demanded immediate action from the administration to address these upset down in the prices.

Muneeb Khan resident of the area complained that when he visited the Nanbai shop he paid Rs 25 for a tandoori roti, then go to another shop and have to pay Rs 30 for the same thing. Not only are the prices inconsistent, but the size of the roti is also smaller than before. It is unfair, and the government is doing nothing to help us.
