PESHAWAR: Lawyer Shabbir Hussain Gigiyani Advocate has written a letter to Chief Justice Peshawar High Court that he was facing threats from the lawyers who supports the Asim Shah advocate family against SHO Charasadda,
He said when he was fighting legal battle for SHO, some miscreant elements warned him for taking his case and after two days later he was attacked along with his petitioner. He said that Lawyers opposed me for being a lawyer in the bail application of the SHO, and a political group of lawyers is defaming his character on social media.
He wrote that he was threatened to withdraw his power of attorney but he did not withdraw it despite of immense pressure. He said that there was a scuffle between the lawyers and the relatives of the accused.
An attempt was also made to open and break the doors of Court No. 8, after the hearing, he was attacked by malicious elements, he was taken away from the court by the police while later an attempt was also made to attack Advocate Ali Azeem Afridi in Court No. 5.
He appealed to Chief Justice to take action against the responsible elements as they want to ban him and his associates from entering the court premises.
