PESHAWAR: Lawyer Shabbir Hussain Gaggiani files a petition in Peshawar High Court(PHC) against the suspension of his license by the Pakistan Bar Council.

“My license was suspended after appearing in the bail application of Charsadda SHO Bahramand Shah”, Shabbir Hussain Gaggiani informed the court through his writ petition. Hearing on the petition filed against the suspension of Shabbir Hussain Gaggiani’s license suspension, Justice Syed Arshad Ali and Justice Dr. Khurshid Iqbal said that the court issued notice to the parties and will hear these cases on October 14. Shabbir Hussain Gaggiani pleaded that the constitution does not state that lawyers cannot advocate for anyone, while the Bar Association has passed a resolution that no lawyer would appear for the SHO Bahramand Shah.

There is a decision of the High Court in this regard, that the Bar Council cannot stop anyone from practicing law, Shabbir Hussain Gaggiani told the court.  The court later issued notice to the parties and adjourned the hearing till October 14.
