TURBAT: Security forces seized 375 kg of ice (drugs) during an operation on the M-8 highway, the value of which is estimated at around Rs 187.5 million.
According to sources, on February 12, on the basis of a tip-off from Wing Intelligence Collection and Exploitation (132 Wing), a suspicious Mazda vehicle going from Panjgur to Turbat was stopped on the M-8. A large quantity of ice was recovered during a detailed search of the vehicle.
During the operation, one accused was arrested, who has been handed over to the Anti-Narcotics Force for further legal action along with the recovered drugs.
Officials say that operations against drug smuggling will continue, and all available resources will be used to eradicate this menace.
