Five people were killed and two others injured in a shooting between two groups over a land dispute in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Khyber district.
According to police, the incident took place on Frontier Road in Khyber, where a minor dispute suddenly turned into a bloody clash and heavy firing was carried out from both sides.
Two people injured in the shooting have been immediately shifted to a nearby hospital, where they are being provided medical assistance.
Police officials say that the accused managed to flee the scene after the incident, however, a case has been registered and a search has been launched for the accused.
According to officials, security has been tightened further in view of the tension in the area, while raids are being conducted to arrest the accused.
