LAKKI MARWAT: The police force killed three notorious robbers during an armed confrontation. The police operation execution follows the Regional Police Officer Sajad Khan and District Police Officer Nazir Khan special instructions.

Police spokesperson Qudratullah Khan reported that intelligence sources informed the Lakki Marwat City Police Station about an armed group that operated between Lakki Marwat and Tazah Zai roads to conduct a major crime.

The police team conducted a mission based on their verified details which they conducted under the command of DSP Lucky Circle Shahi Bakht and SHO Lucky City Police Station Imran Khan and his team members who included APC personnel, to respond to the Dhalokhel Phatak situation.

The suspects opened fire at the police party after they saw it. The police returned fire because they needed to defend themselves. The gunfire exchange continued for approximately 25 minutes. The police party faced no injuries during the entire situation. The police began their area search operation after the gunfire ended, which resulted in the discovery of three deceased bodies in the vicinity.

The deceased individuals belonged to a well-known robbery gang that operated as a criminal organization. The three deceased individuals were identified as Khan Bahadur son of Sher Bahadur, Adnan son of Sher Bahadur, and Kaleemullah son of Mohibullah who all lived in Tajah Zai and Gundi Khankhel.

The police wanted the deceased criminals because they had committed various serious offenses which included the recent bus robbery and multiple incidents of snatching and theft. Police also recovered firearms used in the incident from the suspects.

Sajad Khan RPO praised the police team while he restated their commitment to enforcing a zero-tolerance policy against police misconduct.

Police lodge FIR against PTI MNA in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Earlier, police in Swat on Monday registered a first information report (FIR) against the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI)’s Member of the National Assembly over an alleged anti-state speech, police sources confirmed.

According to the FIR, Dr Amjad Ali is accused of delivering provocative speeches against state institutions and the Constitution, allegedly inciting unrest and disturbing public order.

The case was registered at Kokarai Police Station on a complaint by Sajid Ali, a resident of Khwazakhela, Swat. The FIR includes sections related to sedition, incitement, and disruption of public peace.
