The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) government has decided to introduce unique number plate projects to issue unique number plates with specific names and identities as per the citizens choice.
This decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jahan, in which the practical steps of the project and the functionality of the system were considered. The Provincial Minister directed that the online system for the Unique Number Plates Project be activated soon so that citizens can get number plates according to the name and identity of their choice.
A detailed briefing was also given by the IT Board on the progress of the project in the meeting chaired by Syed Fakhar Jahan. This project is the second major unique initiative of the Excise Department after personalized number plates. After the formal launch of the project, citizens will have the facility to get number plates with the number and identity of their choice for new and used vehicles.
