The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa sports department is going to organize the under-21 provincial Games from February 4 to February 07, 2026, at the Peshawar Sports Complex, which will be formally inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Sohail Afridi.

A meeting was held yesterday under the chairmanship of Advisor on Sports and Youth Affairs Taj Muhammad Tarand regarding the organization of the Under-21 Games, in which the games were rescheduled, and new dates were approved.

The meeting was attended by Director General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Tashfeen Haider, Director Operation Jamshed, Assistant Director Finance Shah Faisal, and other relevant officials.

Instructions were issued in the meeting to complete all the arrangements for the games on time, while a formal notification for the organization of the Under-21 Games has also been issued. More than 5,000 players and officials will participate in this mega sports event of the province. In these games, 35 different sports will be held for men and 18 for women.

Men’s competitions will be held at Peshawar Sports Complex, Hayatabad Sports Complex, Kohat Sports Complex, and Mardan Sports Complex, while women’s competitions will be held at Abdul Wali Khan Sports Complex, Charsadda, Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women’s University, Peshawar, Peshawar Board Ground, and Hayatabad Sports Complex.

Men’s sports in the Under-21 Games include badminton, table tennis, squash, athletics, volleyball, karate, football, gymnastics, throwball, basketball, boxing, taekwondo, hockey, judo, handball, wushu, archery, jujitsu, tennis, weightlifting, wrestling, snooker, lacrosse, tag ball, mass wrestling, futsal, kickboxing, bodybuilding, full-contact karate, kabaddi, Muay Thai, baseball, tug-of-war, rugby and zurkhana.

Women’s sports include badminton, table tennis, squash, athletics, volleyball, karate, basketball, taekwondo, judo, hockey, netball, cricket, archery, handball, jujitsu, throwball, futsal, and softball.
