The public of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are faced with multiple issues like flour crisis, gas outage and inflation ahead of Ramzan while the government stand helpless to control hoarding and sky rocketing prices.
The increase in the prices of flour and other food items in the tourist destination Kalam before the arrival of Ramadan has caused a wave of concern among the citizens.
Locals say that inflation has already broken its back, in such a situation, the increase in prices before Ramzan is causing more problems for the people. Citizens have taken immediate notice of the district administration and demanded that the price list be implemented.
Flour prices have increased with the arrival of Ramzan. The provincial government should ensure the sale of flour at affordable prices. The people said that flood victims are still deprived of help. People also threatened protest if the illegal load shedding was not stopped.
Residents of Jironda Shahabad Kohat threaten protest for their people but have absolutely no interest in providing basic rights to these people.
Meanwhile the district administration Nowshera has announced special measures to control the prices of food items during the holy month of Ramadan.
Deputy Commissioner Nowshera Irfanullah Mehsud told Pakhtun Digital that a special monitoring team has been formed to ensure price control during Ramadan, which will inspect the markets on a daily basis and ensure implementation of the official price lists.
While public-friendly desk will be set up at the main square where citizens can register their complaints. Along with this, a special table will also be set for the deserving and poor during Iftar so that relief can be provided people as possible.
