PESHAWAR: The Office of the Inspector General of Police, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has announced a series of key transfers and postings of senior police officers through a new notification issued under the powers of the Provincial Police Officer.
The notification states that public interest requires the transfers which will be implemented according to Section 17(4) of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Police Act 2017 and will start working immediately.

The orders designate Mr. Ijaz Ahmed who waited to become City Police Officer CPO Peshawar as the new Commander of Elite Force Hazara Division which operates from Abbottabad.
The police force transferred Mr. Shah Asad Khan from his position as Additional Inspector General of Logistics in Peshawar to become Superintendent of Police Investigation for Nowshera. The police department appointed Ms. Maria Mustafa to become SP City Mardan.
The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa declared that the planned transfers and officer assignments would achieve three goals which include better police department operations and enhanced administrative functions, together with improved public security services.
The department demonstrates its dedication to citizen protection through its rapid implementation of these security enhancements. The officers who need to start their new duties immediately must wait until all necessary legal procedures and administrative actions have been completed by the relevant authorities.
The officials believe that the initiative will enhance law enforcement capabilities while establishing better security measures for citizens throughout the province.
