PESHAWAR: A Meeting of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly Standing Committee on Housing Department was held at the Assembly Conference Hall, Peshawar, under the chairmanship of the committee’s chairman, Jalal Khan.
The meeting was attended by members of the Provincial Assembly, Zubair Khan, Ikram Ullah, Beari Lal and Khadija Bibi, as well as the Secretary of the Housing Department, DG and Additional DG of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Housing Authority, Project Director of the Housing Foundation, Project Director of New Peshawar Valley and other relevant officers.
The meeting deliberated on Jalozai Housing Scheme Nowshehra, Surizai Housing Scheme Peshawar, New Peshawar Valley, High Rise Flats Hayatabad Peshawar, Mega City District Nowshera, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Joint Venture Regulations 2021, Minority Quota and Land Sharing Regulations 2014. The committee members appreciated the efforts and initiatives of the Housing Department. Members of the committee also commended the process of making plot owners obliged to plant trees as per the prescribed number as per the new rules.

On this occasion, Chairman of the Standing Committee for Housing, MPA Jalal Khan said that the committee’s members would visit several housing schemes constructed and under construction under the administration of the Housing Department to review them. He also expressed his determination to take necessary steps to improve the performance of the department.
