ISLAMABAD: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House in Islamabad has reopened to the public after police removed barbed wires which had blocked access to the area following four days of protests by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders.
The protest began because people wanted to know about PTI founder Imran Khan’s health condition. During the demonstrations, major roads, including the Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway and the GT Road, were blocked. Police authorities established security barriers through KP House and Parliament Lodges and Parliament House by using barbed wires to control the protest.
The authorities conducted a complete medical examination of Imran Khan which showed that he had only a minor eye problem while his health remained stable. The police operation ended because tensions decreased which allowed people and party members to move about without restrictions.
The officials confirmed that they have achieved control over the situation while security operations continue to preserve public order. The PTI protest has lost its energy after the party reopened to the public because three separate groups have formed within its leadership.
The demonstration showed that people still worry about Imran Khan’s health condition, but authorities declared that normal operations have resumed and their administration will protect public safety while maintaining controlled public access.
