PESHAWAR: The Directorate of Higher Education in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has issued strict Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for organising receptions, farewell ceremonies, sports galas, and other cultural programs in women’s colleges. These guidelines must be strictly followed going forward.

According to the letter, the college administration must obtain prior approval before organising any event. This permission must be secured from either the Director or the Regional Director of Higher Education. Additionally, a complete list of participants and guests attending the event must be submitted to the relevant authorities.

The letter states that there is a complete ban on music, dance, modelling, and similar performances at women’s colleges. Furthermore, female students are required to wear their college uniforms during events. The use of mobile phones during college working hours and events is strictly prohibited, and sharing videos or photos of any event on social media is not allowed.

The Directorate has also stated that strict security and surveillance measures will be implemented to ensure the safety and privacy of female students, with all events conducted in line with social and cultural values. The Directorate has issued a clear warning that strict action will be taken against any college or principal that fails to adhere to these SOPs.
