‎The Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has allowed promotions and recruitments at the University of Peshawar.

‎According to the NOC issued by the Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, a total of 222 teachers have been allowed to be promoted in 44 departments of the university.

‎According to the issued announcement, 48 teachers will be promoted to the post of professor, 54 to associate professor and 117 to assistant professor.

‎Similarly, the Higher Education Department has also allowed the recruitment of 42 contract lecturers in different departments of the university.

‎According to the Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the recruitment and promotion process will be according to merit and the approved budget.

‎Former President PEOTA Dr. Uzzi said that the teachers of the University of Peshawar have been on strike for the last four days for promotion. NOC was received, but until the selection board meeting was convened.
