PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Healthcare Commission has sealed 1678 medical centres across the province for violating the standard operating procedures and not abiding rules.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission has released a performance report covering the last three months, highlighting significant actions taken in the province. According to a statement from the commission, a total of 801 medical centres have been registered during this period.

Spokesperson Azm Rehman reported that 8,199 medical centres were inspected, resulting in notices being issued to 4,496 of them for various violations. Additionally, 1,678 medical centres were sealed. In a separate inspection of 74 medical centres, 17 were found to be complete, and 136 were issued interim licenses.

The report also mentioned that seven training sessions on “Quality of Health Services” were organised, training 183 staff members from medical centres across different districts. The commission received 333 new complaints in the past three months, of which 303 have been resolved.

Arsalan Ahmed Khan, Director of Operations at the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Healthcare Commission, expressed satisfaction with the results. He stated that these figures reflect the dedication of the commission’s staff, who aim to provide quality health services to the public.
