PESHAWAR: The government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has initiated a significant step to transform the paper-based checking policy to a digital system. All examination boards have been given on-screen marking software in this regard.
A special ceremony was held today at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Peshawar, in which the On-Screen Marking software was officially handed over to the representatives of all education boards of the province.
In light of the clear instructions of the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Chief Secretary, this software was developed for the gradual elimination of manual marking, security of papers, transparency in digital evaluation and complete elimination of human errors.
Fulfilling this responsibility, the expert IT team of the Peshawar Board successfully developed a modern, secure and comprehensive On-Screen Marking software in just 60 days.
It was informed in the ceremony that the task of preparing the E-Answer Sheet (Sheet. E-Answer) was also given to the Peshawar Board by the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which was completed.
All the boards of the province were not only trained in e-sheet and on-screen marking but also conducted live testing sessions. Along with this, the process of server configuration of all the boards was also completed so that a uniform, transparent and secure digital marking system could be implemented in the entire province.
The officials of the Peshawar Board said that this step is a memorable and revolutionary milestone in the history of education, and the aim is to make the examination system transparent, reliable and in line with world standards by integrating it with modern technology. The board assured that it is ready at all times to provide technical support to all educational boards and institutions so that the future of the students can be bright and shiny.
