PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government transport authority on Wednesday revised the public transport fares across the province after a surge in the diesel prices.
After the federal government increased the price of diesel from Rs 278 per litre to Rs 284 per litre, the Provincial Transport Authority Khyber Pakhtunkhwa issued a notification to increase the fares of inter-district passenger vehicles in the province.
According to the notification, flying coaches, minibuses will charge Rs 2.99, AC buses Rs 3.19, ordinary buses Rs 2.84 and deluxe buses Rs 2.94 per kilometre per passenger.
According to the details, Peshawar Takohat flying coaches, minibuses will charge Rs 194, AC buses Rs 207, ordinary buses Rs 185 and deluxe buses Rs 191.
