PESHAWAR: The Inspector General of Police Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Zulfiqar Hameed has transferred the Regional Police Officer (RPO) Malakand and posted Syed Fida Hassan Shah PSP as the new RPO for the Malakand region.

According to the notification issued by the office of the IGP, KP Zulfiqar Hameed, on Tuesday, on the approval of the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the Malakand region police chief, Sher Akbar Khan BS 20, has been transferred to the CPO Peshawar for further proceedings to the 124th national management course.

The notification said that Syed Fida Hassan Shah, PSP had been given the responsibilities of the regional police officer at Malakand division.

According to an official notification issued by the Inspector General of Police (IGP) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Zulfiqar Hameed, significant transfers have been made at senior operational levels.

As per the notification, SP Cantt Akhtiraz Khan has been transferred and posted as Acting SP Counter Terrorism Department (CTD). His new assignment places him in a critical role overseeing counterterrorism operations in the region.

Similarly, Acting SP Investigation Ihsan Shah has been transferred and appointed as Acting SP Saddar. The transfer positions him to oversee policing and operational responsibilities in one of Peshawar’s major subdivisions.

The IGP’s office confirmed that the transfers have been made in the interest of better administrative management and improved policing performance. All officers have been directed to assume their new charges with immediate effect.
