PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Food, Zahir Shah Toru, chaired a review meeting in Mardan regarding relief, rehabilitation, and reconstruction initiatives in the district.
The meeting was attended by officials from the office of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (Relief) and the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA).
Speaking on the occasion, the minister announced that the provincial government has released Rs 50 million for relief and rehabilitation efforts in Mardan. The funds will be distributed among 241 families who were affected by recent natural disasters and accidents, including those who lost their lives.
Zahir Shah Toru directed the concerned authorities to immediately initiate the disbursement of financial assistance and ensure that all necessary formalities are completed without delay.
He added that the provincial government is taking long-term and effective measures to support and rehabilitate the affected families and restore normalcy in their lives.
