PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control, Syed Fakhar Jehan, has said that addressing fundamental public issues and providing citizens with relief and facilities remains the provincial government’s top priority.

Under the vision of founding Chairman Imran Khan and the guidance of Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi, the government is taking proactive steps to ensure public welfare, prioritising citizens’ essential needs and challenges.

Provincial Minister Syed Fakhar Jehan made these remarks during his visit to PK-26 Bunir, where he held a public day at his residence, meeting with delegations from PK-26 and other areas of the district. Various delegations presented their concerns and highlighted pressing issues affecting the local population.

The provincial minister attentively listened to the public’s grievances and issued on-the-spot directives to relevant departments and officials to ensure immediate resolution of several key issues.

He stated that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government is committed to advancing the development of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in line with public expectations and that no delay or negligence from any government department will be tolerated in this regard.

Highlighting the purpose of the public day, Minister Fakhar Jehan explained that it allows officials to hear citizens’ concerns directly and provide prompt and effective relief.

He reiterated the provincial government’s determination to enhance public service delivery and accelerate the development process, insisting that departments must act without delay.

He further stated that serving the people of the province, including the residents of Buner specifically, is his responsibility as a public representative, and he remains committed to taking all possible measures to ensure their progress and prosperity.

Meanwhile, the minister also met with a delegation from the Marble Association, who shared challenges faced by their business and industrial sectors.

Syed Fakhar Jehan assured them of the government’s support and reiterated the government’s resolve to promote industry and business, providing a conducive environment for economic growth across the province.
