PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has laid the foundation stone for a multi-storey complex dedicated to the Faculty of Paramedical and Allied Health Sciences. This project, which covers an area of six kanals in Hayatabad Phase-V, is estimated to cost Rs 2.9 billion.

The complex will feature seven floors and two basements, designed with a focus on institutional stability and long-term financial self-sustainability. It aims to generate sustainable income without relying on external funding, thereby supporting academic activities.

The facility will include an administration block, the Dean’s office, offices for department heads, human resources, finance, academic affairs, and other administrative services, all under one roof.

Additionally, six rental floors will be available for health institutions, diagnostic laboratories, NGOs, banks, medical suppliers, and training institutes, providing a permanent income source for the institution.

The complex will also house a seminar hall equipped with modern audio-visual facilities suitable for academic conferences, medical workshops, and professional events. Other amenities will include lifts, ample parking, a cafeteria, power backup, a secure access system, and various modern conveniences.
