PESHAWAR: Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur has ordered a major increase in the police martyred package for 2025, the Chief Minister spokesperson Faraz Mughal said.

According to a statement issued by the Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday, on the directives of the Chief Minister KP, Ali Amin Gandapur, a significant enhancement has been made to the Police Martyrs Package 2025.

It mentioned that under the revised package, the families of constables up to inspectors will receive Rs 11 million in cash, the spokesperson said. Additionally, the families of constables and head constables will be allotted a 5 marla plot, while assistant sub-inspectors (ASIs), sub-inspectors (SIs), and inspectors will receive a 7 marla plot.

For the families of deputy superintendents of police (DSPs) and assistant superintendents of police (ASPs), the package includes Rs 16 million in cash along with a 10 marla plot. Meanwhile, families of senior ranks such as superintendents of police (SPs), senior superintendents of police (SSPs), deputy inspector generals (DIGs), additional inspector generals (AIGs), and inspector generals (IGs) will be granted Rs 21 million and a one-kanal plot.

The spokesperson highlighted that the police martyrs’ fund, which was Rs 10 million in 2017, has been steadily increased and now stands at Rs 20 million as of 2025, with amounts reaching up to Rs 21 million under the current package.

This special package, comprising both cash and plot allotments, aims to honour the sacrifices made by the families of police martyrs, he added. Recently, plot allotment letters were distributed to the families of five martyrs during a ceremony attended by senior officials and relatives of the deceased.

The Chief Minister’s office emphasised that these measures reflect the government’s commitment to support and pay tribute to the sacrifices made by police personnel and their families.
