The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government have announced that March 20 and March 21, 2026 will be public holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr while Sunday and March 23 will be extra holidays for government employees.

These holidays will be logged in government offices that work for 5 and 6 days. Government employees will get 4 holidays on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr, March 22 will be a public holiday due to Sunday, while March 23 will also be an official holiday for Pakistan Day.

The date of Eid-ul-Fitr will be determined by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, which will announce it after the sighting of the Shawwal moon on March 19, 2026.

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, Pakistan Railways has announced to run 4 special trains to make it easier for passengers to reach their homes.
