The renovation work of the 26-bed children’s ward at Abbottabad Women and Children’s Hospital Gami Adda was completed and inaugurated today.
In a unique project of its kind, work worth millions of rupees was completed and beautified with the cooperation of social figures and hospital staff. The Deputy Commissioner inaugurated the project by cutting the ribbon on the completion of the renovation and beautification project.
On this occasion, Medical Superintendent DHQ Abbottabad Dr. Aamir Israr, DMS Women and Children’s Hospital Dr. Iram Siddique, renowned social figure of Hazara Division Ajmal Waheed Khushi, President Abbottabad Press Club, President Abbottabad Union of Journalists, besides doctors, nurses and paramedics were also present.
Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Sarmad Saleem Akram, while talking to the media after the inauguration of the children’s ward, said that with the help of the hospital staff and social figures, DMS Dr. Iram Siddique demonstrated his abilities in improving the general ward.
Officially, the hospital reconstruction plan is in the pipeline, however, during this period, there is a good effort to improve the general ward of children where the relatives of the patients, doctors, paramedics and nurses will feel better.
The Deputy Commissioner also planted saplings in the women’s waiting room as part of the tree plantation campaign, while the DMS presented a bouquet of flowers to Deputy Commissioner Captain (retd) Sarmad Saleem Akram, social personality Ajmal Waheed Khushi, and President Press Club Sardar Naveed Alam, while MSDHQ Dr. Aamir Israr also took the Deputy Commissioner to visit different parts of the hospital and briefed him on other works including the Thalassemia Center.
It should be noted that in the general ward of children, children’s interest was also drawn and painted with beautiful colors.
