PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the establishment of a modern 1,000-bed tertiary care hospital in Malakand, designed to provide advanced medical facilities for the entire division. This decision was made during a recent meeting chaired by Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi.

The Chief Minister instructed authorities to begin the immediate acquisition of the necessary land for the hospital without delay. He emphasized that this new facility would provide significant medical relief to the people of Malakand, allowing them to avoid traveling to Peshawar, Islamabad, or other major cities for treatment.

The planned hospital will include emergency services, advanced cardiac care, and critical facilities, such as kidney transplants. CM KP highlighted that the project demonstrates the government’s commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare directly to citizens and will contribute to modernizing the region’s healthcare system.

Officials indicated that the completion of the hospital will be a major advancement in improving healthcare infrastructure and access in the Malakand division.
