PESHAWAR: Preparations for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s third phase of local government by-elections have reached their final stage, as the election symbols are to be allocated on Tuesday (today).
The Election Commission has declared that by-elections will be held on October 19 for 11 districts of the province to fill 24 vacant members in various classes of Village Councils. These districts include:
Charsadda, Swat, Shangla, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Malakand, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Abbottabad, Haripur, and Mansehra.
Today was the last day for withdrawal of nomination papers, after which the list of final candidates will be issued and symbols allotted.

As per the official schedule, voting will take place on 19th October 2025 and the ultimate outcomes will be announced by Returning Officers on 22nd October 2025. All formalities of procedure are being completed so that the voting is conducted smooth and transparent.
