PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Food Safety and Halal Food Authority (KPFSHFA) has achieved a significant breakthrough in its recent operation on an adulterated milk factory in Hattar Industrial Zone, Haripur.

During the operation in the factory, dismantling the major facility involved in producing synthetic, chemically contaminated milk in the Hattar Industrial Zone, Haripur.

According to the Authority’s spokesperson, the entire setup was rendered inoperative, and machinery worth millions was uprooted and seized after the raid.

Sharing details of the operation, the spokesperson said the action followed credible intelligence received a day earlier. Under the direct supervision of Director General KPFS&HFA Wasif Saeed, a special inspection team conducted a raid on the illegal plant where large-scale synthetic milk production was underway.

The factory had been manufacturing nearly 100,000 litres of hazardous synthetic milk daily, which was being supplied to Islamabad, Rawalpindi, and several other major cities, posing a serious threat to public health.

Food Authority officials confirmed that an FIR has been registered against the factory owners. During the raid, three individuals, including the plant manager, were arrested, and further legal proceedings are underway.

DG KPFS&HFA Wasif Saeed said the Authority remains fully committed to eliminating food and chemical terrorism from the province. We will deal with such elements with an iron hand. Those endangering human lives through this heinous business will be brought to justice, he said.

He urged citizens to immediately report any suspicious or illegal food-related activities to the Authority, emphasizing that public support is vital for completely eradicating such networks.

The DG further stated that the ongoing crackdown is being carried out in line with the vision of Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the directives of Chief Secretary, adding that wiping out these anti-human elements is our collective responsibility.
