PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa(KP) Finance department has approved the release of funds worth a total of Rs 575.841,500 million for various Tehsil Municipal Administrations (TMAs) of the province during the second quarter of the year 2025-26.

These funds have been released as Local Councils TMA Shares, which will be used for development activities under specific rules and regulations. According to a notification issued by the Finance Department, the said amount will be debited from Provincial Account One and transferred to the PLA accounts of the concerned Tehsil Municipal Officers through the Accountant General and District Accounts Offices. The Finance Department has directed that all development activities should be carried out with this amount, and all financial and legal regulations must be followed in the use of funds.

According to the notification, these funds have been given to 106 Tehsil Municipal Administrations of the province. The highest amount has been given to the Tehsil Municipal Administration of Mardan district, which is Rs 38.825 crore. Similarly, Tehsil Babuzai Swat has been issued Rs 39.733750, while Tehsil Kohat has been issued Rs 25.970750.

According to the list of the Finance Department, TMA Haripur of Haripur district has received Rs 29.935 crore, Tehsil Pushtkhara of Peshawar has received Rs 22.1325 crore, and Tehsil Badhaber of Peshawar itself has received Rs 19.5695 crore. In addition, TMA Chamkani has been given Rs 22.877 crore, while TMA Shah Alam and Mathura have been given Rs 24.975 crore and Rs 19.562 crore, respectively.

Tehsil Dir Bala has been provided with Rs 33.13 crore, while Tehsil Tank has been provided with Rs 13.815 crore. Tehsil Karak has been given Rs 37.29 crore, while Tehsil Nowshera has been given Rs 16.471 crore and Tehsil Pabbi has been given Rs 12.127 crore. Similarly, Tehsil Batkhela has been allocated Rs 29.51 crore, Tehsil Razmak has been given Rs 40.272 crore, and Tehsil Swabi has been given Rs 49.192 crore.

Copies signed by the Finance Department have been sent to the Accountant General Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, all District Accounts Offices, Local Government and Rural Development Department, Regional Headquarters of the National Bank, and the concerned officers of the Finance Department.

These funds have been released for the development projects and improvement of public facilities of the province, through which projects such as cleanliness, improvement of infrastructure, construction and repair of roads, and other local government facilities would be completed in various tehsils.
