PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government appointed Dr. Samira Shams as the new chairperson of the commission and also announced the names of newly appointed members.
Besides Dr. Samira Shams, Shabina Ayaz from Aurat Foundation Peshawar, Amna Pervaiz, Tayyaba Batool, Muslim Taj, Dr. Minhas Majeed from the IR department, Shakeela Syed, Gender specialist, Tahira Kaleem, women’s rights activist, Ikram Khan, Komal Younis, disability rights activist, and Humaira Nawaz were appointed as members of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Commission on the status of women.
The new chairperson and members will assume their responsibilities immediately after the notification.
