Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Khan Afridi makes a surprise visit to Lady Reading Hospital, Peshawar, after a viral video on social media.
Chief Minister orders strict legal action against those responsible for not admitting the newborn child to the hospital. The Chief Minister visited the emergency wards and conducted a detailed inspection of various departments, including the children’s ward, direct meetings with patients and caregivers.
Chief Minister also took notice of the patient attendants and caregivers sleeping on the ground and directed immediate construction of a new shelter house for those who come with patients. He also directed the concerned quarters to ban use of use of mobile phones during duty in hospitals and educational institutions on public complaints. The Chief Minister also announced free treatment for a child suffering from cancer.
Strict instructions were issued on the spot for the immediate resolution of problems of patients and relatives. He said that negligence in the treatment and facilities of the patients will not be tolerated. The Chief Minister also held discussions with the in-charges of various sections and asked about any shortage of medicine and equipment .
