Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi ended his sit-in outside Adiala Jail, which had been going on since yesterday, and left for the Islamabad High Court.

Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Afridi had been continuously protesting against the lack of a meeting with the founder of PTI. The Chief Minister had demanded a meeting with the founder of PTI, but despite of his eighth attempt, he was not successful. After the Chief Minister’s continuous refusal to meet, Chief Minister Afridi staged a sit-in outside the jail, where PTI workers were also accompanied him in chilly weather.

Talking to the media at Gorakhpur checkpoint, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi said that the night was spent here with our workers, it was just one night, even if he had to spend his whole life here for the founder of PTI, he would spend it. He said that he has not yet been informed about the well-being of the PTI founder, which is causing serious concern among the workers. He said that their training is such that they will not back down from sit-ins, protests and our demands.

After ending the sit-in, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa left for the Islamabad High Court, where he will review the legal progress regarding the PTI founder. It may be recalled that Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi had written a letter to the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court regarding the issue of not allowing the PTI founder to meet him in jail.

In the letter, Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi requested to provide a certified copy of the court order. Adiala Jail officials said that Chief Minister Sohail Afridi cannot meet PTI founder due to lack of a certified copy of the court order.
