PTI former leader and Member of National Assembly Sher Afzal Marwat, while reacting strongly to the recent changes in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, has said that Ali Amin Gandapur has been removed and a person (Sohail Afridi) has been made the Chief Minister who is not even capable of running a primary school.
According to his statement, the real reason for the removal of Ali Amin Gandapur was the blunt reply given to his founder PTI in which he had said that Imran Khan’s release does not seem possible for the next two to three years. Marwat claims that the new Chief Minister has not been chosen on the basis of administrative ability but only to further the policy of confrontation and confrontation with the Center.
He further said that Bushra Bibi and the party’s top leadership hold Ali Amin Gandapur responsible for the failure of the Islamabad protest (November 24-26), which led to this major political change.
Sher Afzal Marwat questioned the administrative capabilities of the new Chief Minister Sohail Afridi saying that the province has been given to a person who cannot even run a primary school.
According to Marwat, Ali Amin Gandapur was removed because he had clearly told PTI founder Imran Khan in jail that “your release is not in sight for the next two to three years”.
He claimed that Bushra Bibi and the party leadership were angry with Ali Amin Gandapur because he failed to mobilize people and deliver results during the Islamabad protest November 26.
Marwat says that Sohail Afridi has not been brought in on the basis of any administrative capabilities but only for “politics of confrontation” so that he can confront the Centre.
In Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, internal differences within the PTI have intensified for some time now. Ali Amin Gandapur has been accused of making an alleged “deal” with the establishment and undermining the party’s protest narrative, after which news of a change in the provincial leadership has emerged.
