KARACHI: Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sohail Afridi arrived in Karachi on a three-day visit and was warmly welcomed by Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani at the airport.
At the airport, Provincial Minister Saeed Ghani also presented Chief Minister Sohail Afridi and cabinet members with a Sindhi cap and ajrak, symbols of Sindh culture. According to sources, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s visit to Karachi consists of important meetings and engagements, in which various issues will be discussed. The Chief Minister is accompanied by members of the provincial cabinet and members of the party’s national and provincial assemblies from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
During the visit, Sohail Afridi will meet the party leadership at Insaf House and will also visit the Press Club. On Monday, Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will meet Chief Minister Sindh, while a big rally will be held at the Quaid-e-Azam shrine on January 11. The Chief Minister’s schedule includes leading the street movement in South District, Malir and Korangi, meetings with jail inmates, rallies in Hyderabad and Kotri, and meetings with bar associations and trade organizations.
On Sunday, he will meet the ILF, senior lawyers, and All City Traders’ Alliance Association, while in addition to the street movement in Keamari and West District, he will also visit the Quaid’s shrine. Chief Minister Sohail Afridi will also meet media representatives in Sindh and will leave for Peshawar after addressing the Sindh High Court Bar Association on Monday.
According to party sources, this visit is important to further accelerate the street movement in Sindh on the instructions of founding chairman Imran Khan. People also took selfies with Chief Minister Sohail Afridi at the Islamabad airport.
