PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has announced the expansion of the Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) service to Jamrud, TD Bazaar and Bara Bazaar areas of Khyber district.

After personally travelling in the BRT bus on Sunday, the CM Sohail Afridi said that the BRT service in Peshawar was a gift from my leader Imran Khan, to the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

“BRT is providing the best and cheapest service to the poor and middle class. 50 new buses have been purchased to reduce the rush in BRT buses, while another 50 will be purchased very soon,”. He added

KP CM said this service will also be extended to other areas so that more people benefit from it.

The Chief Minister visited the University of Peshawar station of BRT and inquired about the BRT service from the citizens.

The Chief Minister, along with the elected members of the assembly and the Chief Secretary, travelled from the University of Peshawar station to Karkhano station in a bus and talked to the citizens on the bus. On this occasion, the citizens expressed their happiness to find the Chief Minister among them and took selfies.

Talking to media representatives at Karkhano Station, the Chief Minister said that the purpose of travelling in the BRT bus was to directly review the service.
