ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister should not use government resources for political gains, and meetings with prisoners should always be held as per the jail manual.

He said that Section 144 has been imposed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi, and an alert against terrorism has been imposed. Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry, while talking to the media, said that meetings with prisoners are possible only as per the jail manual, and no meeting can be held through threats or intimidation. He clarified that the law is equal for all and no one is exempt from it.

The Minister of State said that the challenge of terrorism remains in the country, and an increase in terrorist incidents is being seen in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He said that Section 144 has been imposed in Islamabad and Rawalpindi for public safety so that any unpleasant incident can be prevented on time.

Talal Chaudhry further said that all available resources are being utilized to deal with terrorism, and a terror alert is on in Islamabad. He appealed to the public to cooperate with the police and law enforcement agencies so that peace and order are maintained in the country. According to the Minister of State, visits are held with prisoners as per the jail manual, and no use of any kind of threat or intimidation is allowed, so as to ensure compliance with legal process and regulations.

These measures are being taken in view of the current security situation in the country and the growing threats of terrorism to ensure the safety of the public.
