PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP)Chief Minister Sohail Afridi has decided not to attend the important meeting chaired by the Prime Minister.

This meeting is going to be held under the chairmanship of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, in which security and other important issues will be reviewed. The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has also issued a letter regarding Chief Minister Sohail Afridi’s non-participation in the meeting, which states that the Chief Minister will not be able to attend the meeting due to his busy schedule. Sources said that the Chief Secretary of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will attend the meeting, while Chief Minister Afridi has refused to attend the meeting.

According to reports, the reason for the Chief Minister’s absence is that he will not attend any federal meeting until he is allowed to meet the founder of the Tehreek-e-Insaf. The other day, PTI provincial president Junaid Akbar had said that the matter would be taken forward only after the promise of a meeting with the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf.
