The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister completes the consultation process for forming a short cabinet in of 12 ministers in the initial phase.

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa 12-member cabinet will include 10 ministers, one advisor, and one special assistant. Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi has decided to include new and old faces in the provincial cabinet. A summary for the cabinet will likely be sent to the governor soon. According to sources, Mina Khan Afridi from Peshawar, Aftab Alam Afridi from Kohat, Idrees Khattak from Nowshera, Arif Ahmad Zai from Charsadda, Ehtisham Ali from Mardan, Riaz Khan from Buner, Amjad Ali from Swat, Akbar Ayub from Haripur, and Nazir Abbasi from Abbottabad are likely to be included in the cabinet.

According to sources, it has been proposed to also include Mian Sharafat Ali from Swat. It has been proposed to make Muzammil Aslam an advisor while Shafi Jan from Kohat a special assistant to the Chief Minister. Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi will send a summary to the governor after consulting with the senior leadership of PTI regarding this team.
