SWABI: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi on Wednesday announced 20 scholarships for the students from the tribal districts of the province.
Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi visited the Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute (GIKI) in Swabi, where he formally inaugurated new faculty apartments.
The KP Chief Minister, on the occasion, announced 20 new scholarships for students from tribal districts.
In his address, CM said that whenever the students were in need, Imran Khan’s provincial government would be there to fully support them.
He said no child in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will leave their education incomplete due to financial difficulties alone.
“Students come forward with new thoughts and creative ideas, and the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government will fully support all such initiatives.
He said strong institutions were the foundation of a strong state, so they need to further strengthen institutions for better tomorrow.
He added that they welcome students from other provinces, they should consider this institution as their home, because they are our guests. GIK Institute has become a great example of national unity.
The Chief Minister expressed joy to know that more than 500 female students are studying in the engineering departments of the institute.
He said that GIK graduates were making Pakistan famous all over the world, which is a source of pride for all of them.
The Chief Minister, while encouraging the students to bring new thoughts and creative ideas, assured that the government will fully support all such positive initiatives.
Welcoming the students from other provinces, he asked them to consider GIK as their home, as they are our esteemed guests. Today, GIK Institute has become a great example of national unity.
