WhatsApp launches feature to optimise mobile storage for users
WhatsApp is adding new features to the application to help users deal with mobile storage, a problem that they are most likely to encounter with the huge dump of messages, photos, and videos. The update will be available soon on the Meta-owned messaging platform.
The feature called “New Storage Management” enables users to decide which media files photos, videos, and PDFs, from each chat are stored. Users can freely manage storage from the information screen of each chat, thus, it is very convenient to delete or view large files without interrupting the conversation.
With the help of individual chats in storage management, WhatsApp intends to provide users with more freedom over their device storage, at the same time not disrupting their messaging experience.
