PESHAWAR (Kashifuddin Syed): The political committee of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) has allowed Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Muhammad Sohail Afridi to expand the provincial cabinet, after which the members of the provincial assembly belonging to different districts have intensified their activities to join the cabinet.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Muhammad Sohail Afridi is currently consulting with party leaders and close associates to finalise a strategic expansion of the provincial cabinet.

The proposed plan aims to ensure broad regional representation by inducting one Member of the Provincial Assembly (MPA) from each of several districts, including Karak, Tank, Mardan, Lower Dir, Mansehra, Nowshera, Charsadda, Abbottabad, Bajaur, and Mohmand. Additionally, discussions are ongoing regarding the inclusion of representatives from Khyber and Peshawar.

This move has triggered significant political activity within the party, as various groups and individual MPAs have intensified their lobbying efforts with the Chief Minister’s inner circle to secure positions.

A final decision on the new appointments is anticipated by Eid-ul-Fitr, after which a formal summary for the induction of new ministers, advisors, and special assistants will be sent to the Governor for official approval.
