PESHWAR: Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Information and Public Relations Shafi Jan has said that the law under the Ehsaas Rehbi Ban Program will be approved and presented in the assembly.
While giving details of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet meeting, Shafi Jan said that there are currently 140,000 rehbi bans in the province and specific places will be allocated for them in all urban areas.
He said that the cabinet meeting has approved a new district for Upper Swat, the headquarters of which will be Matta.
The meeting approved a grant of 17 billion and 14 billion rupees, respectively, to increase the capacity of the CTD and Special Branch and more modern weapons will also be provided to these institutions.
Shafi Jan said that a digital payment system has also been approved in the province, and initially, out of 170 government services, 21 services will be made digital.
He said that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has directed a surplus budget of Rs. 220 billion for the coming year, and the target of completing this surplus budget will be achieved by June 2026.
