PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bakers threatened a strike against the ban on flour supply from Punjab and the failure of the administration to issue price lists.

Anjuman Pakhtunkhwa Nanbai Association, Peshawar District Chairman Khaista Gul Mohmand, and Joint Secretary Janzeb said the Punjab government’s ban on flour supply is illegal, due to which flour prices have increased by up to Rs 1,700 so far. Due to the continuous increase in flour prices, tandoor owners are facing severe financial difficulties.

Due to the increase in flour prices, inflation, electricity load shedding, and raids by the administration, running a business is becoming extremely difficult.

The administration has not yet issued a price list. The prices of flour have been increasing continuously for the past few months. Running a business in the current situation is becoming extremely difficult.

The Punjab government should immediately lift the ban on flour. The district administration should immediately issue a new price list and stop the round-up immediately.

The Punjab government should not be unfair to the province. They are going on strike against the Punjab government. The economic condition of tandoor owners in the province is deteriorating day by day.
