PESHAWAR: The Wildlife Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has imposed new rules and regulations regarding the hunting of ducks and other waterfowl in the province.
According to details, the KP government has imposed complete ban on hunting will remain in place at 57 locations including dams, lakes, ponds, and barrages across Khyber Pakhunkhwa until the end of this year. Those who violated the rules will face a strict legal action.
The official notification issued by the provincial government, it stated that hunting of specific species such as Northern Pintail, Common Teal, Mallard, and other waterfowl will be allowed only at designated areas, with a strict limit of five birds per person per day.

New license fees for hunting have been introduced:
Rs. 8,000 for hunting live ducks
Rs. 2,000 for unprotected ducks
Rs. 1,500 annual license for hunting dogs
Rs. 500 daily license for special duck hunting guns
Hunting is strictly prohibited before dawn and after sunset. The use of electronic devices and call birds during hunting is also banned.
