PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has agreed to the federal government’s proposals on energy conservation, under which various measures will be taken to overcome the energy crisis.
According to official sources, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has responded to the federal government’s proposals on fuel conservation and has agreed to them. Sources say that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has approved the federal government’s proposals on energy conservation, and preparations are underway to implement them.
The federal government had sent most of the policy points used during Corona to the provincial government, which included proposals to close markets early, reduce working days by one day, and work from home for one day to overcome the energy crisis.
Sources further said that 50 percent of the staff in offices were proposed to work on a rotation policy, reduce attendance in educational institutions, and conduct online classes. These proposals will be considered in detail in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa cabinet meeting today.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Advisor Muzammil Aslam, while talking to a private TV, said that the federal government has completed consultations with the provinces on the energy crisis.
He added that the federal government has been informed that Eid is approaching, so a policy should be made for the markets that does not have a negative impact on business.
Muzammil Aslam also said that thrift is necessary, but it is very important to keep the public interest in mind. According to him, despite energy-saving measures, it is also important to take care of the needs of the people.
Chief Secretary Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shahab Ali Shah, while talking to a private TV, said that the provincial cabinet will consider various proposals for fuel saving in the meeting to be held today. He said that the prices and availability of petroleum products are being monitored digitally.
Shahab Ali Shah further said that a close watch is being kept on the possible hoarding of petroleum products, and DCs have been informed to take strict action against those who hoard.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is ready to implement the suggestions of the federal government to deal with the energy crisis, so that not only is energy saved, but its negative impact on the daily lives of the people can also be reduced.
