KOHAT: The police in Kohat have arrested two individuals for desecrating the Pakistani national flag, an act condemned by authorities. The suspects, identified as Qadeer, son of Najibullah from Bannu, and Irshadullah, son of Saeed Ahmad from Lakki Marwat, were detained following a swift investigation.

The incident occurred on the third day of Eid when the suspects engaged in this disrespectful act, which was later recorded and went viral on social media. In response to public outrage, the Kohat police acted quickly to apprehend the culprits.

Both suspects expressed remorse for their actions and publicly apologized to the nation. However, the police made it clear that the law will not show leniency toward anyone who desecrates the national flag.

The police reiterated that such actions will not be tolerated under any circumstances and that legal proceedings will continue against the individuals involved. Authorities emphasized that the law will take its course and assured the public that such incidents will not be allowed to go unchecked.

The arrests and subsequent statements reflect Pakistan’s strict stance on preserving the dignity of the national flag, a symbol of the country’s unity and sovereignty.
